Hi,

I'm just starting the production of my next CD. JIMMY HASLIP of the YELLOWJACKETS is producing it and JEFF LORBER has joined us in this project as well! Wow! I'm stoked!

Also, recently I came back from playing the Mammoth Music & Wine Festival 2008 in Mammoth Lakes, which is up in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains here in California. I got to share the bill with great groups like Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz and Robben Ford! After that, big crowds for us at Brea Jazz Festival! Very cool!

My CD, Traveler, has been nominated for the Orange County Music Awards 2008! All the music and lyrics on the CD are mine, and I play soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones on it, plus I sing on a couple of tunes. Also, some of the hottest musicians in L.A. are featured: David Garfield on keyboards and piano (Michael
McDonald, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Dianne Reeves, Nancy Wilson, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Ernest Tibbs on bass (Natalie Cole, The Tonight Show), and Jeff Olson on drums (David Benoit, GRP label, D'Amico drum clinician). Bassist Tim Landers (Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Brecker Brothers, Gil Evans, Tracey Chapman, Stevie Nicks) also plays on the album.
